Farm Food

Ecotourism, farming and Singapore's sustainable story

  • Pasir Panjang, Singapore
NOSHtrekker, Farm Food

Manda is the owner and Chief Adventurer at a start-up that makes agriculture and farms accessible to urbanites. She brings her work home at this farm-to-table experience, which is held at her cosy penthouse apartment that offers a rooftop garden and views of Singapore’s Port. An author and trained journalist, Manda holds a double degree in Journalism and International Relations and a Masters in Public Policy. She is passionate about sustainable farming and living. An entrepreneur of sharp wit, Manda is cultured, informed and intelligent. Conversation with her will give you a lot to think and talk about – especially if you are interested in sustainable living and living outside the boundaries.

The meal highlights two facets of Manda that make her a unique Host – her work, growing organic produce and her love of Kashmir and its culture. Dinner is paired with vivacious conversation and anecdotes of ecotourism, farming in this city-state, and Singapore’s sustainable food story.

Guests will taste the freshest vegetables and savour dishes cooked in Kashmiri style. Everything on the table is meticulously prepared, from poultry sourced from Kranji farms to the thoughtful tablesetting.

Guests are seated in the rooftop garden where they are invited to take in the views of Singapore’s shipping lanes. The area of Pasir Panjang once hugged the coast. Its Malay name means ‘long sand’ and World War II battles were fought on the slopes of Kent Ridge Park.
