Make your next holiday one of our food focused escapes for travellers to New South Wales via Sydney or Canberra

Inbound travellers to Sydney and Canberra will now have access to exclusive food experiences available in Sydney’s Southern Highlands region, thanks to three new culinary getaways designed by us and offered through destination management company Pacific World.

The two- and three-day experiences offer travellers menus curated and cooked by local chefs and Australian food intelligentsia, and include a range of activities from golf, shopping and walking to visits to food producers and cool climate wineries.

“The Southern Highlands is one of the hidden gems of New South Wales,” says Tahnya Butterfield, co-founder and Chief Experience Designer at NOSHtrekker. “It’s where Sydneysiders in-the-know escape to for a taste of sophisticated country living. It has a great food and wine culture, interesting shops, stately and historic homes and a charming atmosphere.”

“With so much mainstream travel focus on the Hunter Valley and the Blue Mountains, the Southern Highlands is an ideal location for those wanting a different experience; great for people who think they have seen it all.”

The NOSHtrekker Southern Highlands itineraries include transfers from Sydney and Canberra and guests can choose from a range of selected boutique accommodation. The golf itinerary features 18-holes at a championship golf-course with meals cooked by one of Australia’s pioneer celebrity chefs, Geoff Jansz.

“No matter which itinerary a traveller chooses, they can be assured that every step of the journey is designed and executed with our standards of quality service. Guests will get to taste the best of local produce and wine and unlock access to interesting local personalities,” continues Butterfield.

The Southern Highlands has been one of Sydney’s best-kept secrets, being only a 90-minute drive by car from Sydney or Canberra. It is also accessible by train direct from central Sydney. The region is made up of a collection of villages that have historic significance to Australia and is home to many notable food and wine producers.

Manager Destination Southern Highlands Steve Rosa says, “We are very excited with the prospect that NOSHtrekker will soon be generating fantastic opportunities to grow the region’s international tourism visitor base where their clients will immerse themselves in the unique and quality ‘foodie’ experiences on offer in our beautiful destination that is so close to Sydney and Canberra.”
